Vasco Ferreira is the acting leader of the buildings team at the European Commission's energy efficiency unit. He previously worked for a Commission executive agency for SME's and the fuel cells
and hydrogen joint undertaking;
Before joining the Commission, he was a lecturer and researcher at Aveiro University and Technical University of Lisbon, and before that he was team leader in the municipal energy agency of Gaia.
He has a PhD in Energy in Buildings, MSc in Climate Change and a degree in Electric Engineering – Power systems.
